Those of us who grew up in the 90s were dazzled by that small portable console known as the Game Boy. It was surprising to see how such a small screen and with such limited resources could give rise to some of the adventures that would mark our childhood. 30 years later and with infinitely superior technology, there are many of us who return to the origins to tell new stories in 8 bits. Why Game Boy? The particularity of this console lies precisely in its limitations. In an age where we can create infinite worlds and characters with millions of polygons, it is quite a challenge to tell a story with just a few sprites on the screen, a limited color palette and a very short memory. A challenge that triggers creativity and takes us back to a time when our imagination filled those gaps that technology could not offer us.
